Amazing achievement of Vaazhvaham Home for the Visually Impaired As a result of the efforts of our President Hon. Anura Kumara Dissanayake with the lofty aim of improving the quality of education and living standards of students with special needs, the above students who obtained university admission during the period 2019 – 2024 were honored with a cash prize of one lakh rupees each and a valuable certificate from the President’s Fund. The event in this regard was held on 22.08.2026. at the Jaffna Secretariat under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya. At this event, fifteen students of the Vaazhvaham Home for the Visually Impaired received the above cash prize and certificate from the Prime Minister and brought us pride. Among them, fourteen are students of the University of Jaffna and one is a student of the University of Peradeniya. Their names are as follows.
